Commissions and Coverage
Photographs taken during the course of a commission will be at the discretion of the photographer. Every effort will be made to comply with client requests. For a commission involving a church ceremony a photographer’s movement and lighting are sometimes restricted. Bennetto Photography cannot accept responsibility for any obstructed view or poor lighting should this be the case. Bennetto Photography shall endeavour to capture all the moments as they occur. However, because of the nature of the event, it is not possible to capture everything. The photographic brief will cover the 'must have' shots and these will take priority during the event.
Any alterations made to the booking by the client may only be made with the agreement of the photographer. If an alternative date or time cannot be accommodated the photographer is not liable to compensate the client in any way whatsoever.
All photography estimates are valid for six months. Major amendments to the photography brief/commission may incur additional fees. These will be confirmed in writing/email. The client will be liable to pay any reasonable expenses incurred during the commission including parking fees and travel expenses. Car journeys are charged at 45p per mile whilst public transport or taxis are charged at cost price. Every effort will be made to include these in the original photography estimate.
Bookings and Payments
A deposit may be requested before any bookings are formally made. This will be done in writing/email. Invoices should to be paid within 30 days. A reminder will be sent after 30 days and 60 days. Failure to pay after 60 days may result in legal action being taken.
Cancellation Fees – All Commissions and Events
Bennetto Photography reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee on all commissions and events especially if cancelled at short notice. Short notice will be deemed to be within three working days.
All commissions and events are subject to alteration or cancellation by Bennetto Photography owing to any cause beyond their control (i.e. sudden illness/injury). In the unlikely event of total photographic failure or cancellation by the photographer, liability shall be limited to a full refund of all monies paid.
The digital images shall remain the property and copyright of Bennetto Photography at all times. They will be securely stored by Bennetto Photography for a minimum of 6 months from the commission date. After 6 months, they may be subject to deletion without prior notice.
Complaints must be received in writing/email within fourteen days of work completed. Exact details of the grievance should be stated in the initial correspondence. Every effort will be made to rectify any/all issues within two working days. This may take the form of a replacement photoshoot or additional image editing.
