Video production

Do you require a multi-camera live stream of an event? How about a corporate ‘in conversation’ streamed and recorded? Or a music video? Or a social media video of a seminar?  Or perhaps you have your own footage and just need it edited. Whether it’s a promotional, training, product, demonstration, timelapse or testimonial video – live or edited – just get in touch

Whether it’s photographing your annual conference, award dinner, public event, wedding, party or anything in between. The best part is the excitement and challenge of photographing a live event. You never know what to expect so I am prepared for almost anything.

Do you have a professional profile photograph of yourself? Not many people do. Whether it’s for publication, online, social media, presentation talk or just fancy an updated photograph. Studio, on-location or in-action – it’s all available.

Museum and object photography has been my focus for many years. From manuscripts, wagons, statues, silverwear, posters, antiques, pottery, teddy bears, jewelry, coins, archaeological artefacts, cars and artwork. And it’s not just about taking the shot with the right lighting and background – it’s about how to handle the delicate and fragile objects too. So whether it’s a large digitisation project or just a few objects – your objects will be in safe hands.

I worked as a photographer in Higher Education for eighteen years, which offered me a unique and varied experience. From a lecture theatre to laboratory, american football to amateur dramatics, nightclub to nursery school – not forgetting the silent-order convent.

Whether it’s an image of your place of work, an event location or a town/cityscape there is much to be gained by adding that geographical element in photographic form. It doesn’t have to be an entire building or a room but an interesting architectural detail.

Kind words from my customers

We commissioned Bennetto Photography for a small, intimate wedding and were thoroughly impressed with the results and attention to detail. Despite a storm providing a less than idea backdrop, Laura’s humour and great ability to direct a crowd ensured we have fantastic memories of our special day.

Mark Irwin

I have to say, you know how to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. I look vaguely human!!

Laura provides an approachable, professional and cost effective locally based service. For this reason, and her flexible approach, we would recommend her.

Blandy & Blandy LLP Solicitors

These instructional videos have exceeded my expectation. I’m so much pleased with them and I’m sure our students will also like them very much and find this very, very useful to foster their learning in this and all other upcoming years. Great job!!

Dr Rajendran Vaiyapuri

I would like to send my heartfelt thanks for your photographs of the wedding.  Your lightness of touch and informality, coupled with some more ‘traditional’ shots is just wonderful.  You have captured all the emotions of the day and we now have not only some marvellous memories of that but some wonderful additions to the family archive too.  You have a rare gift of being in the right place at the right time but being completely unobtrusive at the same time.

Steve Body

We hired Laura for two days to take pictures at our wedding ceremonies. In the lead up she was excellent, asking us about the sort of pictures we wanted – relaxed and candid – as well as any specific shots. She understood our vision perfectly and produced a record of our day that we will treasure forever. Over the course of the wedding Laura perfectly balanced the need to direct people (during line-ups and specific shots) with an easy manner which allowed her to slip unnoticed amongst the guests to achieve the reportage style photographs that we so wanted. The quality of her work is extraordinary, her eye for a great picture and technical expertise combined to produce so many fantastic shots. After the wedding we received our photos very promptly, and in a variety of digital formats, which has allowed us to use the images exactly as we wish. We cannot recommend Laura highly enough. Personable, talented and professional.

Emma James

Laura is an excellent and experienced photographer. Having worked with her several times over the last 2 years, she not only produces great work but also engages with what we are trying to achieve as a finished product. The shoots are always a great experience and Laura has great rapport with everyone she photographs. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her for future projects.

Willow Collios Reading University Students' Union

I have commissioned photography from Laura Bennetto over many years. Her work is excellent. She is exceptionally responsive to meeting the special requirements of my commissions, and over time she has developed specific techniques for the work, with superb results. I can highly recommend Bennetto Photography.

Eric Kindel University of Reading

I booked Laura (at very short notice) for some professional photographs. I was really put at ease for the photo shoot, Laura seemed to read my mind and guided me through how to present myself for the photos. The results were brilliant, relaxed professional photographs, cropped in both colour and black & white. The look is exactly what I hoped to achieve. Laura sent the photos within 2 hours of our shoot. Fantastic photos – brilliant service.

Sharon Hall

Laura is a joy to work with: highly skilled, efficient, and good company. She understood the requirements of my commission to a level where she spotted glitches I had overlooked – so it became a true collaboration. She processes images quickly and accurately so you can always rely on her to work within the agreed timeframe.

Kate Fletcher University of Reading Malaysia

I am very happy to recommend Bennetto Photography as a thoroughly professional and reliable local business. We mainly use their services for a specialist museum, library and archive photography, including post-production work and we have no complaints about the results or the value. They are flexible to our needs as a business and highly competent.

Guy Baxter Museum of English Rural Life

Laura worked with us to produce some photographs of the halls of residence, managed by UPP at the University of Reading. This included shots of the rooms, halls exteriors and photographs with students in and around the halls.

Laura provided a professional service to us, adjusting shots where necessary to meet our needs. She was easy to work with, friendly and never complained about the constant changes of locations between halls. As we were shooting on a cloudy day, Laura even kindly offered to come back and take some exterior shots on a sunnier day. She also offers reasonable pricing and her turnover rate was incredibly efficient. The photographs have proved effective for our usages.

Laura Halls UPP

I was delighted with the service that I received from Bennetto Photography. I was provided with the most perfect and detailed set of photographs. Laura is friendly, efficient and very professional, supplying exactly what I required and at a sensible price. I cannot recommend Bennetto Photography highly enough. Thank you.

Anita Docherty

About Bennetto Photography

I am a creative corporate photographer based in Reading, Berkshire and have worked in the photography industry for 20 years.

March 2016 was when I setup Bennetto Photography Ltd. Before that I was as a photographer for the University of Reading for 16 years. I have had the privilege of photographing diverse subjects from public events, sporting occasions, artefacts to operating theatres. Not forgetting the silent-order convent (for anyone who knows me - that was a tough job)! And of course, the occasional notable person including Henry Winkler, Sir David Attenborough, Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir John Madejski, Lord Hurd and Laura Tobin.

My experience enables me to work well under pressure, adapt to any style of photography, be creative and problem solve on the move. I work with companies to enhance their visual brand using photography: conferences, corporate events, staff profiles and promotional photographs. For individuals and families, I offer wedding photography along with portraits and event photography. Based in Woodley, Reading I am happy to travel and shoot on location and routinely cover Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and London.

Customers are key

I have been in the customer service sector for all my working life - customers are key. I will endeavour to get the best possible photography within your budget and on time.  I can show you examples of my work, testimonials and clients that I have worked with - but what do you want?

Every job is individually priced based on the length of the shoot, travel time, expenses and post-production requirements. All estimates are valid for six months - there are no hidden costs (and no VAT). As a canny Scot, there is nothing worse than getting hit with an unexpected bill.

In order to cater for every budget, I use flexible charging models: hourly, half day and full day rates (as well as discounts on large/multiple day jobs) so whether your photography budget is great or small - please get in touch. Please take a look at some photography examples please visit my portfolios page. I look forward to working with you.

Craft Study Centre photoshoot

It’s always lovely to my photographs used on customer’s websites – it’s a true sign of how much they value my work. Thankfully the Craft Study Centre in Farnham are using some of my images online. So I can finally get to know more about the objects (I’m too busy thinking about lighting, composition, focus etc on the day). Here is just one of the objects photographed that day – a plate. A very shiny […]

Dino’s Music video

A few weeks back, we got together to record this taster track and video. Dino’s are a covers band playing classic rock from the 1980s and onwards with the emphasis on ‘big’ songs that will have an audience up on their feet. Check out the final result here.

MERL: 51 Voices project

It’s always interesting to learn about some of the items that I photograph. In January, The Museum of English Rural Life embarked on a new year-long project, celebrating The MERL’s 70th anniversary through 51 new interpretations of MERL objects and archives: 51 Voices. Below, we explore the first four of our 51 Voices, which are now available for you to see in our online exhibition!…/2021/02/51-voices-january/
