Kind words from my customers
We commissioned Bennetto Photography for a small, intimate wedding and were thoroughly impressed with the results and attention to detail. Despite a storm providing a less than idea backdrop, Laura’s humour and great ability to direct a crowd ensured we have fantastic memories of our special day.
I have to say, you know how to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. I look vaguely human!!
Laura provides an approachable, professional and cost effective locally based service. For this reason, and her flexible approach, we would recommend her.
These instructional videos have exceeded my expectation. I’m so much pleased with them and I’m sure our students will also like them very much and find this very, very useful to foster their learning in this and all other upcoming years. Great job!!
I would like to send my heartfelt thanks for your photographs of the wedding. Your lightness of touch and informality, coupled with some more ‘traditional’ shots is just wonderful. You have captured all the emotions of the day and we now have not only some marvellous memories of that but some wonderful additions to the family archive too. You have a rare gift of being in the right place at the right time but being completely unobtrusive at the same time.
We hired Laura for two days to take pictures at our wedding ceremonies. In the lead up she was excellent, asking us about the sort of pictures we wanted – relaxed and candid – as well as any specific shots. She understood our vision perfectly and produced a record of our day that we will treasure forever. Over the course of the wedding Laura perfectly balanced the need to direct people (during line-ups and specific shots) with an easy manner which allowed her to slip unnoticed amongst the guests to achieve the reportage style photographs that we so wanted. The quality of her work is extraordinary, her eye for a great picture and technical expertise combined to produce so many fantastic shots. After the wedding we received our photos very promptly, and in a variety of digital formats, which has allowed us to use the images exactly as we wish. We cannot recommend Laura highly enough. Personable, talented and professional.
Laura is an excellent and experienced photographer. Having worked with her several times over the last 2 years, she not only produces great work but also engages with what we are trying to achieve as a finished product. The shoots are always a great experience and Laura has great rapport with everyone she photographs. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her for future projects.
I have commissioned photography from Laura Bennetto over many years. Her work is excellent. She is exceptionally responsive to meeting the special requirements of my commissions, and over time she has developed specific techniques for the work, with superb results. I can highly recommend Bennetto Photography.
I booked Laura (at very short notice) for some professional photographs. I was really put at ease for the photo shoot, Laura seemed to read my mind and guided me through how to present myself for the photos. The results were brilliant, relaxed professional photographs, cropped in both colour and black & white. The look is exactly what I hoped to achieve. Laura sent the photos within 2 hours of our shoot. Fantastic photos – brilliant service.
Laura is a joy to work with: highly skilled, efficient, and good company. She understood the requirements of my commission to a level where she spotted glitches I had overlooked – so it became a true collaboration. She processes images quickly and accurately so you can always rely on her to work within the agreed timeframe.
I am very happy to recommend Bennetto Photography as a thoroughly professional and reliable local business. We mainly use their services for a specialist museum, library and archive photography, including post-production work and we have no complaints about the results or the value. They are flexible to our needs as a business and highly competent.
Laura worked with us to produce some photographs of the halls of residence, managed by UPP at the University of Reading. This included shots of the rooms, halls exteriors and photographs with students in and around the halls.
Laura provided a professional service to us, adjusting shots where necessary to meet our needs. She was easy to work with, friendly and never complained about the constant changes of locations between halls. As we were shooting on a cloudy day, Laura even kindly offered to come back and take some exterior shots on a sunnier day. She also offers reasonable pricing and her turnover rate was incredibly efficient. The photographs have proved effective for our usages.
I was delighted with the service that I received from Bennetto Photography. I was provided with the most perfect and detailed set of photographs. Laura is friendly, efficient and very professional, supplying exactly what I required and at a sensible price. I cannot recommend Bennetto Photography highly enough. Thank you.
Thank you very, very much for these photos. They are a wonderful memory and photos mean so much to me. You have given me a very special gift which is very much appreciated.
About Bennetto Photography
I am a creative corporate photographer based in Reading, Berkshire and have worked in the photography industry for 20 years.
March 2016 was when I setup Bennetto Photography Ltd. Before that I was as a photographer for the University of Reading for 16 years. I have had the privilege of photographing diverse subjects from public events, sporting occasions, artefacts to operating theatres. Not forgetting the silent-order convent (for anyone who knows me - that was a tough job)! And of course, the occasional notable person including Henry Winkler, Sir David Attenborough, Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir John Madejski, Lord Hurd and Laura Tobin.
My experience enables me to work well under pressure, adapt to any style of photography, be creative and problem solve on the move. I work with companies to enhance their visual brand using photography: conferences, corporate events, staff profiles and promotional photographs. For individuals and families, I offer wedding photography along with portraits and event photography. Based in Woodley, Reading I am happy to travel and shoot on location and routinely cover Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and London.

I made this little stop motion video for the Museum of English Rural Life: not bad for my first attempt at stop-motion and done in my living room. It’s made from 80 still frames then edited to show the stop motion effect as well as timed to the music. Some animated text later and it was complete. The knitted reindeers are made my a volunteer at MERL but due to COVID I haven’t seen her […]
If you go down to the woods today… you may see another family having a fun photoshoot. Admittedly, it was like herding cats but we got a lot of really lovely shots of the boys having fun and being themselves. This was a win-win-win situation. The family got a great set of images, I earned some income and 20% was donated to a charity of their choice.
Here is just one of ten short films about Hidden Women created for the Ure Museum, University of Reading: Annie Ure This exhibition is a complement to the ‘Collectors, Curators and Cataloguers‘ workshop held on 12th June 2019. It highlights the histories of ten women who contributed to the Ure Museum in various ways. During their lifetime they held many roles, paid and unpaid. The artefacts and archives were selected to represent the impact they […]
