Graduation celebrations!

Reading School of Pharmacy Graduation 2017

Congratulations to everyone from the University of Reading who graduated this week. I photographed the Reading School of Pharmacy and Food & Nutritional Sciences graduation receptions. It was good to be back in the familiar surroundings of the MERL gardens offering the perfect setting to celebrate graduation with family, friends and faculty staff. Also great for group photographs – especially if the photographer is leaning out a first floor window shouting instructions!

Magician Michael J Fitch entertains at the Notcutts event hosted at the Crowne Plaza, Marlow. Notcutts celebrated 120 years in their industry with multi-session seminars, fun, laughter, learning topped off with an awards filled evening to recognise their talented members of staff.

Magician Michael J Fitch has been on many TV programmes (Channel 4’s ‘Freaky Magic’, and BBC’s ‘Sorcerer’s Apprentice’) and his close up magic certainly entertained everyone at Notcutts. And, yes, his magic was too fast for my camera – I never caught anything that would help explain what we all witnessed! Doh! See more about Michael at his website

X Factor Auditions at the Broad Street Mall, Reading as photographed by Bennetto Photography. Many gathered at the Broad Street Mall, Reading last week to audition for the X Factor: here are just two! Young and old alike auditioned for the X Factor – many thanks to everyone who allowed me to photograph them. Many were carrying their guitars or accessories and there were plenty of characters (as you would expect).

Huawei: Year of the Rooster Celebration. I had a wonderful evening on Friday at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre (Madjeski Stadium) photographing Huawei’s Year of the Rooster Celebration. There was live music, a Dragon Dance, childrens’ games and much more. The fabulous ITM AV supplied the AV tech and stage – including one the largest portable screens that I have ever photographed. It looked amazing!

RUSU wall graphic: impressively colourful and engaging. I have just seen, for the first time, the impressive wall graphic of this year’s Reading University Students’ Union Officers. Yes, it really is an entire wall. It’s been up for a while but I finally popped in to see it and it was well worth the wait! It looks fantastic: I checked out my photography skills and photoshop cutouts. Luckily everything was in order and it looked pretty perfect to me (although my opinion is probably slightly biased).

Daniel Galmiche, TV chef at Salon Culinaire 2016. I photographed Saturday Kitchen guest chef Daniel Garmiche during his skills session at Salon Culinaire 2016, Ascot Racecourse where he cooked Norwegian Fjord Trout.

Michelin starred chef, Daniel currently works at Restaurant 190 at the Gore Hotel, London having previously worked at the Vineyard, le Gavroche, Cliveden House, and L’Ortolan.
