I made this little stop motion video for the Museum of English Rural Life: not bad for my first attempt at stop-motion and done in my living room. It’s made from 80 still frames then edited to show the stop motion effect as well as timed to the music. Some animated text later and it was complete.
The knitted reindeers are made my a volunteer at MERL but due to COVID I haven’t seen her in long time. It was therefore lovely to be able to show her in person at the beginning of December what I had made with her reindeers.
To all the volunteers especially during this festive time – have a MERLy Christmas!

Timelapse video of the packing of a Toyota MR2 hard top for Pack & Send in Reading: YouTube video is here.
1.5 hours of work in 35 seconds in the style of a silent movie (film scratches, projector noise, music, black and white and titles). Many thanks to Pack & Send for their cooperation, hospitality and the amazing insight into the world of packing. So whether it’s furniture, musical instruments, artwork, hard top for a car, electronic equipment, antiques, a stuffed giraffe or anything in between – they can advise the best way to pack and send your goods. For more information about their services, visit the Pack & Send website.

It started last year when I made a short video containing some of the photographs taken in 2017. It was fun to continue the tradition this year but with some added video clips as well.
The range of photoshoots has been immense in 2018: a stuffed giraffe, graduations, award ceremonies, portraits, weddings, parties (including the one where all the kids dressed as superheroes), artwork, interior and exterior architecture as well as photographing on a rowing boat on the Thames. That very same rowing boat and crew are currently competing in The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge – their current position is here: 19° 53.28 N, 032° 27.90 W.

Photography Review 2017 by Bennetto Photography captures many of the photoshoots from the year including the Cliveden Literary Festival, Vodafone Enterprise Conference, TSBE Electric Vehicle conference, Being Human Festival, Notcutts Annual Conference, portraits, objects, locations and more…
What a brilliantly varied and enjoyable year it has been. I am very grateful to all my clients for inviting me into their world in order for me to digitise it forever. I am very fortunate to have had so many exciting projects, unfortunately not all shoots have been added to the video, sorry if yours didn’t make it into the final cut. It’s not easy cutting down 12 months of work into 3 minutes and 36 seconds!
